Subject: Rising road accidents by teenage drivers
Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of authorities towards the alarming increase in road accidents caused by rash driving by teenagers. Many 16–18-year-olds ride bikes and scooters at very high speed, do stunts and ignore traffic rules. This has led to many fatal accidents in Delhi in the last six months.
The traffic police must conduct special drives in school/college areas and strict penalties should be imposed. Schools should also include road safety in moral science classes. Only collective efforts can save precious lives.
Yours truly
